Starting from Bailaka Highway, the atmosphere immediately turns humid and tranquil as soon as you step into the forest. The towering primeval forest slices the sunlight into beams, and beneath your feet lies a thick carpet of fallen leaves and tangled tree roots, each step imbued with the primal essence of nature. As the altitude gradually rises, the air becomes cooler, and the forest landscape opens up. The moment you emerge from the shade, a breathtaking panorama unfolds before you—the arrow bamboo forest of the Yangmingshan Mountains undulates in the wind, like green waves spreading across the mountaintops. Standing at the viewpoint, the Yangmingshan mountain range stretches out in layers, the expansive view making you momentarily forget the climb you've just endured. After a brief stop, the journey continues towards the Xiangtianshan Mountains. The path winds its way along the ridgelines, the wind noticeable, carrying the refreshing scent of the grasslands. Reaching the summit, the path descends gracefully towards Tianchi Lake. The terrain softens, the surroundings are tranquil, and the lake reflects the sky and mountain shadows, like a soothing finale. This route is not merely a physical challenge, but a journey with a distinct rhythm—from the dark forest to the expansive mountain scenery, and back to the tranquil waters, progressing layer by layer, completing the entire experience in its entirety.
