The theme of January's broadcast is "Two Years Since the Earthquake." Two years have passed since the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake, and just over one year and three months have passed since the 2024 Oku-Noto Heavy Rains. We'll introduce the "now and future" of recovery and reconstruction efforts. At the Wajima-Urakami Line, which suffered double damage from the earthquake and heavy rains, viewers will see the damage caused by the heavy rains and construction work in progress, while also enjoying the beautiful scenery of Noto. We will visit the Oku-Noto Agricultural Recovery and Reconstruction Center and learn about the current situation, where farming has resumed at about 70% of its pre-earthquake level. We will also hold a roundtable discussion with Wajima lacquerware artisans, who will talk about the current state of Wajima lacquerware and their outlook for the future.
