One needs to drive all the way to Dhundhi bridge and then take a smaller road to reach the starting point of the trail. . The road is under construction and the road network keeps on building up there. I am sharing the GPS coordinates 32.35204, 77.12970 of a point till where you can easily take any motor vehicle. You can keep following the same unpaved road until you see big rocks which can be crossed only by foot, that point would become your trek starting point. . Beas kund is indeed a really good day hike near Manali and can be done by fit individuals in a day. There is no need to carry those heavy backpacks and acclimatization is not going to be an issue on this hike. However, choose the right month to go to Beas kund as the boulder field makes the trek injury prone in winters. .
