These five holy peaks are considered as the abodes of Lord Shiva and Srikhand Mahadev is one of them. . The 75 feet tall monolith pillar or Shivling is located on the border of Kullu and Shimla districts and is approachable from three routes: a) Bathad in the Tirthan valley, b) Phancha or Sarpara in the Ghanvi Khad and c) The pilgrim route is the one that starts from Jaon or Singhad village. In this video we will be covering the Jaon or Singhad route. It is perhaps one of the most difficult pilgrimages in the state of Himachal Pradesh. . The annual pilgrim or yatra was held from 11th to 24th July in 2022. During the pilgrim the administrative authorities install camps and community kitchen called 'Langar'. So basically, there is no need to carry camping gear and food. The food in the community kitchen is free and the accommodation charges are quite economical. It is during this time when we see people of all age groups hiking all the way to the Shivling.
