🥀 Seven Sorrows | Friday, July 3, 2026 | Strengthen me from within

"Join us at Living Scapular for today’s devotion to Our Mother of Sorrows. On this Friday, July 3, 2026, we meditate on the Fifth Sorrow: The Crucifixion and Death of Jesus. In this meditation, we stand at the foot of the Cross beside our dying Lord and His most sorrowful Mother. We reflect on the immense love that led to our redemption and the martyrdom of Mary’s heart as she witnessed her Son's final breath. Through this Chaplet, we ask for the virtue of temperance and the grace of true contrition for the sins that pierced His sacred body. The Fifth Sorrow: The Crucifixion and Death of Jesus (John 19:25-30) What we pray for today: For true repentance of our sins and the conversion of the whole world. For those facing their own ""Calvary"" or final agony this day. For the Gift of Counsel to always discern and stay faithful to God's holy will. About the Fifth Sorrow: “There stood by the cross of Jesus, His Mother.” Picture Her now at the foot of the cross; there can never be sorrow like Her sorrow. As Saint Jerome says, “Every torture inflicted on the body of Jesus was a wound in the heart of His Mother.” On Calvary, there were two altars: one in the body of Jesus, the other in the heart of Mary.
