In the smoky thickets of the Bolivian jungle, a family collects the rotting shells of giant almond trees. With their own hands, they extract the nuts that contain the almonds destined for gourmet stores around the world. Edgar must transport them in his old truck to a processing plant as quickly as possible. Like him, Ramiro carries another of the looted treasures of the forest: wood. The path could be a healthy walk, but in Bolivia, the constant slaughter of the jungle is disturbing the ecosystem and creating unprecedented climatic imbalances. Exceptional rains take the two drivers by surprise, and the rivers of the Amazon flood millions of hectares. The main road to the capital, La Paz, is under water. In a few days, the country is divided in two and more than 100,000 people are affected.
