Roughly a month ago, I produced a video called: "The Divide Between Theme Park Fans and Disney Adults"    • The Divide Between Theme Park Fans and Dis...   In that video, I discussed the fundamental differences between people who are fascinated by themed entertainment and how this is different from Disney adults, people who throw thousands of dollars at the Disney parks, yet only engage with it at the most superficial level. I explained how their dedication for the iconography of Disney rather than its artistry, has led the company down the road to decline, as it signals to executives that they no longer have to put effort into the parks. However, I never really got down to the root of the question: who are Disney adults and why do they exist? In the comments, many people put forward interesting ideas for what creates this kind of shallow consumer of the Disney brand and so in this video, I explore these postulations and try to explain what makes Disney adults just so weird.
