This two-part documentary explores the rich cultural journey from carpet weaving in Anatolia to the restoration of antique rugs. Filmed in Istanbul and Balıkesir, the first episode showcases the intricate process of antique rug restoration in Istanbul, while also introducing the unique patterns and weaving techniques of Turkmen carpets. The second episode takes place in the Sındırgı district of Balıkesir. In this part, viewers witness the last examples of handmade carpet production through one of the few remaining traditional looms. Additionally, the documentary delves into the meanings behind the motifs found in Anatolian carpets and how these designs reflect traces of the nomadic (Yörük) culture in detail.
