Smallsword Sparring - David Pascal (Academia da Espada) vs Rui Ferreira (Espada Negra)

As some of you may know, one of our instructors was present at Panoplia Iberica, an iberian event as the name implies that gathered not only instructors from across Portugal and Spain but also from other countries. I won't go into a lot of detail here as there will be a larger post about it. I would rather want this video to be the highlight and not the description. A smallsword sparring session between our instructor Rui and none other than David Pascal himself. It was a massive challenge to go up against such an experienced fencer, quick on his feet and on his bladework as well, but an utmost pleasure nevertheless. There's so much to be said about the experience fencing him and what one learns but I'll leave that for another time. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
