We Made It to Vancouver Island After 5,600 KM | Cross-Canada U-Haul Move Finale

After roughly 5,600 km across Canada, we finally made it to Vancouver Island. This is the final travel day of our Moncton, New Brunswick to Nanaimo, British Columbia U-Haul move. We started the morning in Chilliwack, drove through Vancouver traffic, dropped off the trailer, found out our U-Haul counted as a commercial vehicle for the ferry, and then finally boarded the boat to Nanaimo. After 12 days of driving, camping, heat, stress, wrong turns, long highways, and hauling our lives across the country, getting off the ferry in Nanaimo felt completely unreal. Of course, the day did not end there. Once we arrived, we still had to unload the U-Haul, squeeze everything into the apartment, order food, and get the bed set up so we could finally sleep in our new home. This is the end of the road trip, but the start of our new life on Vancouver Island.
