Paris Olympic Build: Sankt Moritz (Episode 15)

Training in St. Moritz, Switzerland lived up to the hype and was absolutely incredible. This week was all about recovering from the high of the start of the Olympics in Paris. We dropped our total weekly mileage down to 75 miles, and ran our last two workouts. “Tapering”, when we cut back mileage and workouts, is tough. My body feels like it goes into withdrawals and the mind starts to get anxious. I believe in “The Taper”, but in the moment it can be tough. In October 2023, I ran 2:08:00 at the Chicago marathon. Then, at the US Olympic Trials marathon in February 2024, I placed second and qualified for Team USA. I will be racing the Olympic marathon at the Olympic games this summer in Paris. Join me during this training block as I prepare mentally and physically to compete on the biggest stage.
