David's life was marked by incredible victories, painful failures, deep sorrow, and unwavering faith in God's promises. In this lesson, we examine the closing chapters of David's story, from the heartbreak of Absalom's rebellion to David's final testimony of God's faithfulness. Though David's house carried the consequences of sin and grief, he discovered that God's mercy, covenant, and promises remained sure. David's final words remind us that God's faithfulness is greater than man's failure and that hope is strongest when it rests on what God has said. As David looks back on his life, he does not focus on his accomplishments or even his failures. Instead, he points to the LORD as his Rock, Fortress, Deliverer, and faithful Covenant Keeper. This study encourages believers to trust God's promises through every season, knowing that His grace is present in sorrow, His strength is sufficient in weakness, and His faithfulness endures through the entire story.
