Installing Extended Wheel Studs the RIGHT Way

In this video, I show how I removed and installed extended wheel studs on my Honda Del Sol using a hydraulic shop press. This method can be used on many different vehicles and is a cleaner, more controlled alternative to hammering studs in and out. I also go over wheel hub prep, pressing the old studs out, installing the new extended studs, and my hubcentric setup. If you’re running spacers, aftermarket wheels, track setups, or just need more thread engagement, extended wheel studs are a great upgrade. 0:00 Intro 0:18 Extended Wheel Stud Choice 1:38 Hubcentric Wheel Spacer Thickness 2:28 Extended Stud/ Original Length Stud Comparison 2:28 Hubcentric Rings 4:28 Wheel Hub Assembly Choice 6:03 Wheel Stud removal 9:32 Extended Wheel Stud Install 12:30 Install End Result 14:08 Outro Vehicle: 1994 Honda Del Sol Si This process is similar for many Hondas including: 92-95 Civic (EG) 96-00 Civic (EK) Integra CRX Accord And many other vehicles with pressed-in wheel studs Tools/Parts Used: Hydraulic shop press Sockets Extended wheel studs Wheel hub assembly If this video helped you out, consider liking the video and subscribing for more Honda DIY content, installs, troubleshooting, and budget builds.
