The reason why gay people get played ft. Julez Smith, Nene Leakes, Plaqueboymax, Yung Miami etc…

In this video, I'm talking about why so many gay men end up emotionally investing in straight or men who know exactly how to market themselves to queer audiences. We need to have an honest conversation about the desirability of masculinity and how that intersects with gay baiting. Why do some straight men seem comfortable accepting gay attention, validation, money, engagement, and supportbut never genuinely reciprocate that energy? Then I get into examples that have sparked conversations online. Plaqueboy Max has been criticized by some people for displaying homophobic tendencies while also engaging in content and aesthetics that are popular within queer culture whether that's wearing wigs, leaning into diva culture, or other antics that resonate with Queer audiences. Then there's the conversation around Julez Smith hosting a Gay club. And that made me think about something bigger... Why do queer communities sometimes give so much grace and attention to celebrities with controversial histories involving LGBTQ+ people, while queer artists, actors, performers, and creators struggle to receive the same level of support?
