Three years after the Pegasus scandal, the services continue to operate without any control. Spyware is a nuclear weapon in the hands of the services and enables the government to conduct total surveillance of citizens. The Law and Justice party (PiS) was able to use the services for political purposes because no one has real control over their activities. The Civic Coalition promised before the elections that it would protect Poland from similar scandals. To this day, the services and spyware remain unchecked and susceptible to political pressure. Panoptykon proposes a set of rules that will allow the services to carry out their tasks while protecting citizens' rights and freedoms.
