I recently returned to Seoul after filming in Yongin, and I've been visiting Cheongdam-dong quite often. Cheongdam-dong has always been a bit of a mystery to me. I wanted to find a good value restaurant here, so I did a lot of research beforehand and ended up visiting this place. This restaurant is so well-known in Cheongdam-dong for its delicious kimchi stew that it was even featured on the 2015 Wednesday Food Talk. Originally founded as a butcher shop in 1987, it has been operating a restaurant since 1995, offering three cuts of meat, along with kimchi stew, stir-fried fermented kimchi with aged kimchi, stir-fried pork, and rolled eggs, perfect for home cooking for 26 years. In Cheongdam-dong, a neighborhood chock-full of expensive restaurants, it offers both delicious food and value, making it a popular choice among nearby office workers. This Hyundai Butcher Shop's kimchi stew is made with a mixture of aged kimchi aged for over three years and kimchi made less than a year ago. This gives it a truly exceptionally spicy flavor. It was a truly wonderful meal, just as I'd hoped. I'd like to express my sincere gratitude to the owner's wife for allowing me to film.
