Aira Visual Interpreter System for People who are Blind or Low Vision - A Demonstration

Aira is a visual interpreter and navigation system for people who are blind or visually impaired, which connects users with sighted employees who can help answer questions or aid in navigation. You can use the Aira app to connect to an Aira agent, who can then see through your devices camera and see your position on a GPS app. From there, you can do whatever you want! Aira also offers the Horizon kit, a pair of smart glasses which come with a phone dedicated for Aira Access. Even if you don't own your own smartphone, you can use the Horizon kit to get hands-free access to the Aira service whenever you need it. What's even better is that Aira is free in many places now, and this includes the Milwaukee County Transport system.
