Janice Ward - Double Crossin' Sweetie Pie (1961)

Fantastic record, such a cute sounding singer! Did not chart nationally on the Billboard Hot 100, but charted locally in the Top 100 in Sanford, Florida in June 1961. Original Billboard review: "Jumpy number by the young femme singer is in the rocking groove. Tune gets support from group and vocal chorus." Written by Loretta Ward (Janice's sister). The other side of this single, "When a Girl Gives Her Heart (to a Boy)" was a #1 hit locally in Baltimore, Maryland. Janice had released one other single earlier as "Jan Ward" with a different version of "When a Girl Gives Her Heart" backed by "The Other Side".
