71 MPH Typhon Grom on 3S! 🤯 (On a Repaired Tire!)

71 MPH... on 3S... with a repaired foam tire! 🤯 Day 4 of the #RCaDayChallengeJuly2026 delivered a result I wasn't expecting. After shredding a foam tire during yesterday's testing, I glued it back together and headed out for a couple of quick neighborhood passes before the summer heat and family responsibilities took over. The first pass hit 62 MPH at roughly half throttle because there were still people out. Once the road cleared, I eased into it again and the GPS surprised me with 71 MPH! What's even crazier is how cool this budget setup stayed: 🔥 Motor: 93°F ⚡ ESC: 121°F This build started with a generic 2847 4000KV AliExpress motor, a budget 30A ESC, and a lot of experimenting. Along the way I accidentally found a drivetrain binding issue that picked up another 4 MPH, and now this little Typhon Grom is faster than I ever expected.
