Can something this small save your life? Could it allow you to be much more comfortable during your hiking, camping, or bushcrafting in the woods? Hear me out, and then you be the judge. This pouch is the USGI "compass pouch" (also called the "first aid pouch") from the ALICE system (1980s era etc). It's a tough pouch that's available inexpensively as military surplus on Ebay, etc. I'd say it's a handy size. But, of course, what matters most is the contents.
