If you visit the Bogor Botanical Gardens, you'll find a Dutch cemetery complex, considered elite during its time. In fact, if we look further back, this Dutch cemetery complex was actually located within the courtyard of the Pajajaran Kingdom palace before European colonizers arrived in the archipelago. This garden, inherited from the King of Pajajaran (Siliwangi), was rapidly transformed into a botanical research center during the colonial era. At the end of the cemetery, a Dutch cemetery was built, intended for officials, military figures, nobles, and researchers, all of whom were Dutch or European. Not many people visit this Dutch cemetery in the Bogor Botanical Gardens, due to its somewhat hidden location and the farthest part of the garden.
