Thailand is preparing a program worth approximately IDR 11 trillion (approximately US$8.7 billion) to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles and boost the recovery of its slowing automotive industry. The government plans to replace up to 80,000 older vehicles with electric vehicles over the next few years. This policy is expected to increase demand for electric vehicles, reduce emissions, and strengthen Thailand's position as one of the largest automotive and EV industry hubs in Southeast Asia.
