We Tried a HUGE $120 Seafood Boil in Louisiana 🇺🇸

📍Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA 🇺🇸 Baton Rouge hits you different. A river city with its own rhythm, its own heat, its own stories if you take the time to listen. We started downtown and along the riverfront, trying to understand the place before we ate our way through it. Lloyd's Seafood and Po'Boys was the kind of spot that tells you more about a city than any guidebook ever could. Family run. Generations deep. We sat in the warm hum of lunch service and talked with the owners and the regulars about Cajun culture, history, and the food that keeps people coming back. From there we wandered through LSU. A campus with its own pride and its own pulse. Different from Tuscaloosa, less chaos, more calm. We saw Mike the Tiger lounging like a king in the sun and chatted with LSU staff about student life. Ice cream from the on-campus creamery felt like a small reward for walking in the Louisiana heat. And then came the moment Paige had been waiting for. Our first seafood boil. A real one. A tray stacked with one hundred and twenty dollars of spicy, buttery Louisiana glory. Paige nearly cried from excitement. I needed a couple drinks just to steady myself before diving in. But once the seasoning hit and the spice kicked in, I was done for. Pour that Louisiana heat on anything and I’ll eat it. Another slice of this state that keeps surprising us. Another meal that tells its own story. Louisiana has a way of getting under your skin in the best possible way. 👨🏻‍💻 Give us a follow on your favorite social media:   / jackaynsleytravel     / jackaynsleytravel   &   / paigeaynsleytravel     / jackaynsleytravel   &   / paigeaynsleytravel   👋🏼 Support us!
