Warhammer Skirmish Solo Scenario: "They Came from Below!"
Warhammer Fantasy Battles 6th edition is back with a new Warhammer Skirmish scenario adapted for solo play. "They Came from Below!" is a scenario published on GW's website to coincide with the release of the first Tomb King army book. It is a variation of the "Water Rights" scenario from the Skirmish booklet with minor changes, most notable the replacement of the four Giant Scorpions with three Tomb Scorpions. In this battle report my Savage Orcs and Forest Goblins have gotten lost in Nehekhara as they attempted to migrate to the fantastic carnage of the Olde World. Desperate for water they came upon an oasis, which unfortunately had some rather nasty undead guardians. Some of you may notice I took a whole bunch of Goblins with shields for this battle, but none of my models have shields on them. When making my army list I just assumed my old Forest Goblins had shields, and I didn't realize they didn't until well after the battle. Normally I like my models to be more accurate, but in my defense as far as the mechanics of the game goes the shields make no difference whatsoever. The Tomb Scorpions are strong enough to punch through any armor the Goblins would be wearing. So obviously the weedy Grots started out with shields, only to cast them aside somewhere in the desert after they got too weak to carry them.
