October 10th - Happy World Mental Health Day! ✨ Today is a time to reflect internally as well as check in honestly with friends and loved ones. Oct 10th is the official World Mental Health Day, and this year the theme is “Young People and Mental Health in a Changing World.” As someone who has struggled with depression and anxiety in the past, and can truly empathise with the weight & darkness it can create in life, I feel so strongly about ensuring we speak out about these topics, remove the negative stigma attached to such illness’, and begin developing an understanding mentality and safe place for people to accept and acknowledge as well as take proper care of their mental health. I’m curious to know just how many of you have your own mental health story of the way it has affected you or someone close to you. If you feel like venting below, please do! Let it out. We will create a supportive, warm and welcoming environment - free from judgement. Let’s remove the shame attached to mental health by speaking out and creating conversations and support systems for one another.
