Daibosatsurei is a 2,057m-high mountain in Yamanashi Prefecture. It's one of Japan's 100 famous mountains and is part of the Chichibu-Tama-Kai National Park, which straddles Yamanashi, Tokyo, and Saitama. ■Wateneko's difficulty level: Easy even for beginners ★★☆☆☆☆☆ But only during the snow-free season. ■ Trailhead/Parking Location Kamihigawa Pass No. 2 Parking Lot Address: 2367 Kamihagiwara, Enzan, Koshu City, Yamanashi Prefecture (You can set the name and address above on Google Maps.) *Parking Fee: Free If the parking lot is full, please use Parking Lot No. 4 below. The Route Featured Here (Counterclockwise) The route from Fukuchanso to Daibosatsu Pass is long but gentle. The descent is steep but short. Recommended for those who are not good at steep climbs. 2. Clockwise Route (This is the recommended route★) The route heading straight to the summit of Daibosatsu-rei is quite steep and challenging, but the distance to the summit is short. The ridge walk offers even more spectacular views. If the weather's good, you can walk while viewing Mt. Fuji. But the descent is long. ★Summary of the Day★ ・I went on a weekday, September 30th. ・This route is suitable even for beginners. 　※Helmets are not required. Optional. ・The number of steps taken that day was approximately 15,500. ・Toilets are available at each mountain hut, so don't worry. ・I couldn't find the hiking registration form on site, so it might be a good idea to submit one online beforehand. ・Trekking poles are not necessary, but there are some steep sections on the descent, so it's best to bring some if you're not good at descending mountains. ・I don't think there were any convenience stores within a 30-minute drive of the parking lot, so it's best to stop by if you find one after getting off the highway.
