He holds a PhD in Economics and Business Administration and a degree in Economics from the same university. He also studied Political Science at UNED. He has written several specialized monographs, research articles, and reviews that have been published in the leading academic journals in his field. He is also a member of the faculty of the Juan de Mariana Institute's Summer University and a visiting professor at Francisco Marroquín University.
