GOLIATH TRANSMISSION - PASSENGER OF INTEREST | Wasteland Music

signal acquired destination: cherry and all orbiters priority: black Cherry. Orbiters. Little satellites around a dying world. Listen. A train approaches. You already know this. Everyone knows this. The silver express whistles loud enough for even the dead to hear. People think it carries wealth. Caps. Jewels. Artifacts. Luxury. People are wrong. Those things are cargo. I am interested in a passenger. One passenger. Not the richest. Not the strongest. Not the most dangerous. The most important. There is a difference. Cherry. You once asked me how history survives. It doesn't. History sheds skin. Changes names. Changes faces. Changes stories. Yet somehow... Some pieces continue moving. One such piece rides that train. A traveler. A collector. A witness. A keeper of something old. Something I misplaced. Two centuries ago. Or tomorrow. Time is unreliable these days. You are not to kill them. You are not to rob them. You are not to scare them. This is very important. Orbiters tend to mistake every instruction for a suggestion. This is not a suggestion. Find them. Observe them. Listen. Then tell me what they know. And what they remember. Most importantly: What they have forgotten. [pause] If they offer tea... Accept. If they offer stories... Listen. If they offer bargains... Decline politely. If they recognize me... Leave immediately. There are old things moving. Old names being spoken. Old doors unlocking. The train is not the event. The robbery is not the event. The passengers are not the event. The event is one person arriving exactly where they were always going. Most of them simply don't know it yet. Cherry. You have always been good at finding people. Even when they are hiding from themselves. Find this one. The snow will point. The rails will guide. The red sun will watch. And if you hear knocking beneath the tracks... Keep walking. That is not who I am looking for. From Goliath "Every orbit eventually crosses something larger."
