The rails borrow her voice. For a little while. Go gently, Silver Express. Carry the singer through winter's veil. Some songs belong upon the rails. Some songs belong beneath the stars. And while she travels... Two hearts remain beside the tower. BlueJay June laughs like an Appalachian morning. Warm. Bright. Comfortable. I have watched her. Not in a creepy way. Mostly. She carries hope like an old guitar. Hope is surprisingly durable. Tod Wyoming... The glowing storyteller. The ghoul who convinces strangers that tomorrow is worth surviving. Even now... people gather because of stories. Not because of safety. There is very little safety. The tower glows. The radios sing. The coffee boils. The snow falls. Three stories met beneath one roof. Now only two remain. BlueJay smiles. I smile. Tod smiles. This concerns me. Someone should be panicking. It is Wyoming. The Holy Moth watches. The Wise One waits. Razorback walks unseen through frozen pines. Even they seem... confused. Not by prophecy. By courtship. Ancient beings understand destiny. Dating remains incomprehensible. BlueJay brings music from Appalachia. I bring prayers. Tod brings coffee. Honestly... He may be winning. One offers songs. One offers faith. One offers fresh coffee and stories over the radio. The heart is a strange compass. Even beneath two suns. The congregation once taught me every choice echoes forever. Yet no scripture explains who should ask first. Should one wait? Should one speak? Should one simply continue discussing Mothmen until romance happens naturally? History is unclear. The Second Sun watches. The old sun warms. The tower broadcasts. The snow listens.
