Unpopular Opinion: Why I’m Boycotting South Africa as a Travel Destination (For Now) Should Black travelers continue to support tourism in South Africa while videos of xenophobic attacks and harassment against other Black Africans continue to circulate? This conversation is about xenophobia, anti-Blackness, and the treatment of Black Africans and other Black visitors. I also share alternative destinations across Africa that I believe deserve your tourism dollars, including Zimbabwe, Botswana, Ghana, Senegal, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, and Rwanda. You don’t have to agree with me. But I said what I said. Because this is my unpopular opinion. 💬 What are your thoughts?
