Minidisc live: The Sharp Who Lured Me

The good and bad of Sharp Minidisc players and recorders Great, shouldery sound is what they are known for. Early models hissed, but not too much, had big strong amps, and had great bass enhancement engines. Later models lowered hiss but didn't really touch current to voltage ratios. That is, until the very bleedingest of edges players such as the DS55, which basically performs like a modern mid-end to high-end DAP for noise, current/voltage ratios, frequency fidelity, and, at least against 16-bit metrics, the ceiling of the format. Of course, all of that is contingent on you using TRRS-connected earphones/headphones, or a balanced input of a Hi-Fi system. If you don't, you get basically no stereo from even this juggernaut.
