The Southwest Tour 2026 – Destination Spain or Portugal. LANDSCAPE: Cities – none. Villages – rare. Farms – scattered. Old buildings – yes, a few. The Cévennes, the southern part of the French Massif Central, are sparsely populated. The landscape takes center stage here. The deep, rocky canyons of the Tarn, La Jonte, and other rivers, the Cause – the impressive plateaus carved by the rivers. A region to marvel at, whether cruising along long straight stretches or concentrating on the countless curves. I call this a GREAT LANDSCAPE. And the approach to the campsite already hints that we've found another beautiful spot to spend the night.
