(VYSS) Virtual Youth Safe Spaces
In March 2020, COVID-19 put a halt to the normal life of Filipinos. For the youth in Mindanao, this meant a disruption in their education and engagement with their fellow youth. This occurrence inspired GIZ YOUCAP to transform a traditional face-to-face training of trainers into the first VIRTUAL YOUTH SAFE SPACES or VYSS – an online workshop and friendly safe space for peer-to-peer exchanges on Peacebuilding and Prevention of Violent Extremism. The film was produced as part of a Training of Trainers program run by Glocal Films in cooperation with GIZ Philippines.
