La Res Publica di Ottaviano Augusto
Massimo Miglietta, Professor of Roman Law at the University of Trento, discusses the figure of Octavian Augustus through the transition from Res Publica to Empire. But at what cost? The imposing figure of Augustus dominates a changing world, torn between old and new ideologies about the salvation of the state. The meeting was moderated by Professor Maria Pia Saviolo Magrassi, President of the Italian Association of Classical Culture, based in Vercelli. Readings by Roberto Sbaratto.
