Epstein Case: The Countdown Begins for Trump Donald Trump is struggling to extricate himself from the Epstein affair. Following a law signed by the US president, a federal judge ordered on Wednesday, for the third time in just a few days, the unsealing of court documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein case. The release could take place by December 19, the deadline set by law. After recently releasing photos of Jeffrey Epstein's residence in Little Saint James, the private Caribbean island where he allegedly ran his sex trafficking operation, Democratic lawmakers released new photos last night. Donald Trump appears in several of them. The pressure is immense on the White House occupant, especially given his questionable behavior. While he had stated during his campaign that the truth about this case needed to be uncovered, he seemed intent on doing everything he could to suppress the affair once back in power. The Epstein affair isn't the only one making headlines in the United States. The battle between Netflix and Paramount to acquire the entertainment giant Warner Bros. Discovery is also making waves across the Atlantic. Between Netflix, the world's leading streaming service, and Warner, the deal seemed a foregone conclusion. But Paramount counterattacked with a $108 billion offer. The company is headed by David Ellison, the son of billionaire Larry Ellison, a close associate of Donald Trump. The affair has therefore taken on a political dimension, particularly since the offer includes the acquisition of Warner's media division, owner of the CNN television network. Donald Trump has long accused this network of serving his Democratic opponents and being an "enemy of the people." A change of ownership and editorial direction wouldn't displease him. While he denies any interference in this matter, he argues that Netflix, for antitrust reasons, might not be able to acquire Warner Bros. The American president is not the only figure at the heart of the Epstein scandal. Andrew, the brother of the current King Charles III, was also very close to the convicted sex offender. Virginia Giuffre, the main plaintiff in the Jeffrey Epstein case, spoke out to explain that Andrew had raped her. Andrew has since been stripped of his title of prince and all associated honors.
