The "Tinco" is associated with the appearance of the Holy Sacrament of the Altar, dating back approximately 500 years. In the 1940s, it was removed from display at the Chiapas Anthropology Museum. It was in 1999 that the Museum handed over the Tinco at the request of the Honorable City Council and Prioste - Attorneys of the festival - to safeguard the instrument in the town.
