Sued by an Ex and Her Husband

The plaintiff dated the defendant for about six years, but she claims they were both addicted to drugs and it destroyed their relationship. She is suing her ex-boyfriend today for unreturned property and unpaid bills. The defendant says when he got together with the plaintiff, she was clean, but she eventually got back on drugs. He says her addiction was so destructive that she showed up high to a court custody hearing, got arrested, and lost custody of her children. He is countersuing his ex for harassment, defamation, and stolen property. In a second case, the plaintiff, who is currently married to the first plaintiff, claims that after they were engaged, the defendant started threatening his life. He is suing because he believes the defendant had his friend assault him, so he wants him to pay for the medical bills. The defendant says he was told that the plaintiff punched himself in the face and is blaming him because he wanted to turn his ex-wife against him.
