Building Our DIY RV Carport - First Posts & Beams Go Up!

We’re finally making real progress on the RV carport at our Kentucky property! In this video, we tackle the first few 6x6 posts and start getting the beams up. Figuring out the exact height to clear the RV (and all those roof vents) was the biggest challenge — we even had to get creative with a flagpole and laser level! Watch us cut, notch, stand, and secure the posts while dealing with the heat, rain delays, and heavy timber. Safety first on this one — these things are heavy! This is just the beginning of the carport build. We still have more posts, rafters, and roofing to go. Stick around for the full series as we turn this raw land into something functional!
