We are continuing the Dave “The Boy Who Played the Harp” album journey, and today we are on track two: Dave – “175 Months.” This is my honest first-time reaction/review as we keep going track by track through the album. After starting with “History,” Dave takes this one into a deeper spiritual space. “175 Months” feels like a prayer, a confession, and a testimony all wrapped into one song. In this reaction, I talk about Dave asking God for forgiveness, fighting against the angels trying to save him, the pain of grief, praying for family, praying for his brothers, and that powerful line about being in church but more worried about the service on his phone. Dave’s writing on this one is different because it feels personal, honest, and heavy. What stood out to me most is how Dave blends faith, pain, purpose, guilt, family, and survival into the music. The beat switches and the production changes also caught me off guard because the song keeps shifting emotionally while Dave keeps opening up more and more. This album journey is already showing me new sides of Dave. I knew Dave was talented, but I did not know he was like this.
