Safest BORDER TOWN in Mexico? Boquillas @johnauvin
In South Western Texas, there is a little known international crossing from US to Mexico. Customs and Border Protection Agency operate the crossing within Big Bend National Park which borders the Rio Grande River and Mexico. - The crossing is known as Boquillas. This is a pedestrian crossing only and is a fantastic day trip to a very rural Mexican town, Boquillas del Carmen. This is one of the most unique international trips we have taken. Many have asked, was it safe? YES. We met Mexican Police that patrolled the roads. We rode Burros, explored the one-street town, had a Mexican beer in a local bar, ate a typical Mexican meal, and bought hand-made souveniers. All in one day. We recommend this unique one-day trip if you want to experience something new and different. Happy trails ! #boquillas #bigbend #bordertown #mexico #burro
