KOREAN ADOPTION FAQ#2: How We Told Our Traditional Asian Parents That We Were Adopting

This is the most FAQ I get from other Koreans or Asians who are considering adoption. Adoption in Korea is not something that is spoken of as openly like in other countries, so I understand why this is something people would struggle with. Telling parents and family you are about to adopt should be a joyous occasion but the reality is, it can be daunting for some. I absolutely struggled with this myself. I don't think there is ever one right answer of when or how to tell your parents, but I hope that by sharing this very personal moment, you may feel that you are not alone in your adoption journey.
