Narrow paths, high ravines, and the imposing Sensunapán River accompanied us until we reached a place that, according to local tradition, holds profound ancestral value for the Pipil people. Our destination was La Periquera, a stunning waterfall hidden in the mountains of Nahuizalco. But getting there wasn't easy.
