Is Winter a Good time to Visit Sicily? Sicilian Puppets & Byzantine Churches

Anytime is a good time to visit Sicily but winters come with pros and cons. The weather can be in the low 60s but colder and even snowy in the mountains and higher elevations. Many museums are open and we take you to a Sicilian puppet museum in Acireale. These iconics puppets were used to entertain people before TV. We also go to Castiglione di Sicilia and one of the most important examples of Byzantine architecture in Sicily.
