Hooker Valley Is CLOSED... I Went Anyway
Hooker Valley, one of New Zealand's most famous mountain valleys is currently closed due to bridge construction, but I still made my way in to see what it looks like right now. I avoided the restricted area by crossing off path through the hooker river, and scrambling up to reconnect on the path. During the 2 nights in, I did not meet anyone, and it was fucking amazing.
