2026 Jones Beach Airshow - Fursan Al Emarat

Al Fursan, officially Fursan Al Emarat, or "The Knights of the Emirates," is the aerobatic demonstration team of the United Arab Emirates Air Force (UAEAF). Al Fursan flies the Chinese-built Hongdu JL-10 (or L-15 Falcon) supersonic jet trainer and made their debut performance with the L-15 at the Dubai International Airshow in November 2025 after flying the Italian Aermacchi MB-339, introduced to the UAE at the end of the 2000s with direct support from the Frecce Tricolori. The team's appearance at the 2026 Jones Beach Airshow (a very late announcement from the airshow, mind you!) marks the first time the team has flown an airshow in the United States. Sunday's performance over the Jones Beach State Park featured their full display complete with colored smoke. The Hongdu JL-10/L-15 has such a unique howl, which you can hear clearly. The 2026 Jones Beach Airshow is one of the signature events commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States of America, with airshow dates taking place from July 5-6, 2026 (yes, that's Sunday and Monday!), with practice taking place on Friday July 3, 2026. There were no airshow-related events over Jones Beach State Park on July 4; however Jones Beach did host their annual fireworks display that night. Aviation-related activities did take place in New York City on July 4, which is featured separately. The video showcased here was shot on Sunday July 5, 2026 at the Jones Beach State Park and also shot while standing in the water, which will explain why you hear the waves crashing and much of the crowd/beachgoers. Each ICAS member air show is eligible for a single package of the three music licenses for one air show at the cost of $770 for a one (1) day air show; $1,100 for a two (2) day air show; $1,375 for a three (3) day air show; $1,650 for a four (4) day air show; $1,925 for a five (5) day air show, $2,200 for a six (6) day air show; $2,475 for a seven (7) day air show, and $2,750 for an eight (8) day air show. The rate applies only to music broadcast over the public address system during the public air show portion of the program (not practice/rehearsal/closed to the public days) and does not provide the air show with the right to use pre-recorded music at concerts or other non-air show special events held in conjunction with the air show.
