"Layar Cerita" is a collaborative work between me and Sherina Munaf, Tohpati, R. Abdul Azis, Jos Marcy, Rangga Joned, Hagai Pakan, Iskandar Loedin, Tri Anzani, and a whole other amazing creative team. This short musical drama served as the opening act at the 2024 Indonesian Film Festival (FFI) Awards Night, carrying the spirit of the theme "Merandai Horizon Sinema Indonesia." The text was created through a biographical approach to the actor "Sherina," then transformed into a narrative that aligns with the exploration of the show's major themes. As an opening, this musical is expected to serve as an emotional bridge connecting the audience to the rich and colorful journey of Indonesian cinema. Synopsis: As an actress and singer, "Sherina" deeply understands the twists and turns of behind-the-scenes stories. The joys and sorrows of the process are vividly etched in her mind. This time, she shares a snippet of her feelings through narration and song, allowing us to experience her inner journey. Thanks to Ario Bayu & Pradetya Novitri for the invaluable opportunity, trust, and support. Mas Tohpati, his musical arrangements are magical, bringing the text to life and creating unexpected impressions. Sherina, besides being beautiful, creates a rich emotional resonance. R. Abdul Azis, a progressive prose writer and poet, accompanies many of the conversations and deftly balances the various shifts in ideas. Josh, his choreography is fun and dynamic, enhancing the events, atmosphere, energy, and appeal of the show (If I go to Bandung, I'll treat you to a meal). Yes!). Hagai Pakan's costume design not only supports the narrative and character identity, but is also flexible through three quick changes.
