TUI BLUE Medina Gardens - A tour of our hotel.

We stayed at the all-inclusive, TUI BLUE Medina Gardens hotel in Marrakesh, between 1st and 8th November 2024. The hotel has 181 rooms, and we had room 1417 which is on the other side from the main pool and gardens, but gave us a great view out over the city. It's a super hotel. Great food in terms of quality and quality, nice rooms and friendly staff. It's set in beautiful gardens, and is only a 5-7 minute walk from the mosque and main square. Certainly, when compared to other TUI hotels we looked at, this was the best placed as Marrakesh is flat and so easy to walk around, and with Google maps, you aren't likely to get lost. Other hotels were much further out and had shuttle buses to bring you into the city. It's about 20-25 minutes from the Saadian Tombs/Badi/Bahia Palace, and about 30 minutes from the Majorelle Gardens. That's at your usual pace and taking into account trying to avoid being knocked down by motorbikes and scooters on your wanders! There's nightly entertainment, themed nights in the restaurant, a spa, an escape room, a gym, and a tortoise garden. And for every 7 nights you stay, you get one al-la carte dining experience in the 'Culinarium', which in our experience was excellent. The exchange rate when we stayed there was 12.15 dirham to £1. Out in the city you could get a slightly better deal (between 12.20 and 12.60) but for convenience, it was an okay rate. Overall, I/we would highly recommend the hotel.
