Britain's Last Industrial Town
In today's video I am back exploring industrial Britain. Normally when I make one of these videos I am lookin at a place that lost an industry, however, today I am in Scunthorpe which is holding onto the last of a once huge steel industry. This place is still firing away keeping people employed, so I was very intrigued to see how that was affecting the town centre. It seems to be a place full of life in terms of industry, a town which seems to be incredibly useful and the core of which is not a glamorous picturesque centre but beating heart of real work. In the modern world we seem to always be chasing pretty things instead of useful things, and I think it is very important to keep places like Scunthorpe alive, especially the Steel works which is constantly facing challenges. A huge thanks to Sweet Shop Steve at the Lucky Tuppence, do go check him out on Tik Tok if you are on the platform. And to everyone else I met and chatted to, thanks for being open to showing me around. Until next time, W.T #industry #steel #town #britain
