Vanilla Cake Doughnuts | GLUTEN FREE, VEGAN AND OIL FREE

GF & Vegan Vanilla Cake Doughnuts Makes 8 Dry Mix 2 cups all purpose gluten free flour 1 cup turbinado sugar 2 teaspoons GF binder or ground flax 1 teaspoon baking soda Wet Mix 1/4 cup apple sauce 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 teaspoon vinegar 1 cup non-dairy milk For the glaze: 1 cup organic powdered sugar 2 tablespoons non-dairy milk 2-3 drops vegetable based food coloring 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Pre-heat the oven to 350 F. Mix the dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Add the wet ingredients and quickly mix until a shaggy batter is formed. Be careful not to over-mix. Spoon the batter into a doughnut pan and place in the oven and bake for 12 minutes. Allow to cool completely in the pan before removing. For the glaze, sift the powdered sugar into a bowl and mix with the non-dairy milk and vanilla extract. Whisk together until smooth.
