And in the largest festival tent, the Hofbräu, with 10,000 guests daily, a state of emergency prevails for two weeks. 220 waitresses, 570,000 liters of beer, and 80,000 chickens are just a few of the staggering figures. But how much does a waitress actually earn at Oktoberfest? We threw ourselves into the fray for a day and accompanied the people who ensure that millions of visitors can celebrate in a boozy and safe way.
